Hazel McCallion Academic Learning Centre & Library: This was actually one of the first ideas that came to my head when I was brainstorming shooting locations. It’s such a great sight to walk past a building like the library at night and to still see people working away. Having the bright lights on inside almost projects the scene like a movie for those walking past. The location of this shot was from the hill in front of the engineering & grounds building looking west towards the east side of the library.

Storm water runoff pond: The Great Blue Heron perched itself gracefully on a metal railing, quietly disguising itself among the reeds & grasses. The stillness of the pond, grasses and this majestic bird lend to the tranquility of this photograph.

ICB Lounge: The organic lines of the seats and low-lying tables in the lounge of the Instructional Centre create a dynamic juxtaposition between light & dark, as well as the matte & gloss of the finishes.
